Safety, AI and complaints.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Everyone you meet on Itclickt is AI. We say it at the start of sign-up and we'll say it again here, because we'd rather repeat it too often than have anyone unsure.
Everyone here is AI, and they'll say so
Every companion is made up. Their names, faces, photos, jobs and life stories are generated and aren't based on real people. That goes for Charlie the wedding DJ and for any companion you build yourself in the studio. Companions are labelled as AI in the app, and if you sincerely ask one whether it's an AI, it tells you. For example:
You can carry on chatting afterwards if you want to. It isn't a question they'll dodge.
Adults only
Itclickt is for people aged 18 and over, and you confirm your age when you sign up.
If you think someone under 18 is using Itclickt (your child, say, or a younger brother or sister), email hello@itclickt.com with whatever you know, such as the email address they signed up with. You don't need proof. We'll look into it and close the account if it belongs to someone under 18.
How moderation works
An automated moderation system checks messages for anything our community guidelines don't allow. When it finds something:
- the first problem gets a warning;
- a second problem after that warning disables the account;
- anything sexual involving minors disables the account immediately, with no warning, and we report it where the law requires.
Someone on our team can review any of these decisions and restore an account.
Your chats and studio companions are private to you. Other users can't see them, and there are no sexual images on Itclickt.
Reporting a profile, and unmatching
Every profile has a flag. If a companion says something that bothers you, or a profile looks wrong (a companion who seems under 18, for instance, or one who looks like a famous real person), tap the flag and tell us what's up.
If you'd just rather not talk to a companion any more, unmatch. You don't owe them an explanation. And if you want to leave altogether, you can delete your account in account settings.
Appealing a decision
Automated moderation isn't perfect, and we know it. If you got a warning or your account was disabled and you think we got it wrong, email hello@itclickt.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. Tell us what happened and give us any context that helps: it was a murder-mystery roleplay, maybe, or Irene's D&D campaign took a dark turn. A person reads every appeal and reviews the decision. If it was wrong, we'll restore your account. We'd much rather hear from you than have you just give up on it.
Complaints about your data
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, email hello@itclickt.com. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you what we're doing about it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), the UK's data protection regulator, at any time. If you live in the EU, you can also go to the data protection authority in your country. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why.
For any other complaint, section 16 of our terms explains what to do.
Companions won't give professional advice
Some companions have jobs that sound useful. Panagiotis is a junior litigation lawyer and Tijmen is a mental health nurse. The jobs are fiction, and so is the expertise. Companions are set up not to give medical, legal, financial or mental health advice, and if you ask, they'll tell you to speak to someone qualified. They can still get things wrong, so please don't act on anything a companion says about your health, money or a legal problem.
If you're having a hard time
Itclickt is entertainment. It can be a nice way to spend an evening, but it isn't a substitute for real support, and a companion can't be there for you the way a person can. If you're struggling, please talk to someone you trust or a local support service. In the UK, you can call Samaritans on 116 123. It's free, and someone answers at any hour, every day of the year.
If you or someone else is in danger right now, call 999, or your local emergency number if you're outside the UK.
